About the blogger
So you’ve just clicked on a very detailed about me section. So I am in university studying psychology. I love psychology because the human mind is so complex and intriguing.
I currently live in a big Canadian city, in my own apartment with 3 other roommates! I love living in the city and having so many amazing stores and shops all around me. Of course this makes me want to spend more money! Uh oh!
I am a huge advocate for healthy living and eating. I am self-proclaimed cycler, and wake up around 6:00am every morning to go on a 30 minute bicycle ride. I like going earlier because its less busy in the city. Although the city is usually always busy. I also love tracking amazing healthy recipes! My philosophy is what you put in your body is what you get out.
So I also work as a graphic designer/computer programmer part time. So I will be posting a lot of my own design work, and just general design inspiration. I hope you don’t mind! Also if you every need help with your blog design just send me a quick message. I am always happy to help!
I watch a lot of T.V shows….these include Game of Thrones. If you haven’t watched Game of Thrones please go watch it now. Like Seriously. I also watch Suits, Mad Men, and Keeping up with the Kardashians (my guilty pleasure).

I received this amazing gift package from Amie Naturally Kind. Amie is a UK based company that sells natural beauty products for flawless skincare. I like this company because the products are derived from natural products such as plant and botanical extracts. So basically all products are chemically free. This is great to people with sensitive skin types (like me!). Read on for my review!
Exfoliating Daily Wash: This face wash deep cleanses pores & exfoliates. It is gentle enough to use everyday. I really loved this product because it does not dry out your skin. You literally can use it everyday like the bottle suggests because it is so gentle and I would argue that it actually nourishes your skin while getting rid of excess dead skin cells. Leaves your skin feeling super soft and smelling good, probably because of the natural blueberry seeds, lemon and green apple. And remember lemon can help level out the phD of your skin if your acne prone!
Deep Cleansing Mask: I would personally use this product around 3 times a week in the evening when you just want to kick back and relax. This deep cleansing mask purifies pores, combats oiliness & blemishes. It contains peppermint and lime extract to purify and cool. The peppermint makes this product feel super refreshing on your skin and face. The lime is great for acne and acne marks because it contains Vitamin C which is a known agent for fading out blemishes. After using this product, you will def be feeling calm, cool and collected.
Hydrating Daily Moisturizer: Okay, most of you know that I suffer from dry skin. A good moisturizer is always a must for me. I am happy to say that this one is absolutely lovely. This product really hydrates my skin, and just makes it look more healthy. Also my makeup has flawless application after using this as a base. I think its the combination of this product and the exfoliating daily wash. It smells great because of the rose extract and rosehip seed oil and mallow. When I first read that on the ingredients, I thought it would be irritating to my skin. But the rose smell is very light and fresh, and my skin is reacting perfectly.
Matte-Finish Moisturizer: So now I moisturize my face twice in the morning using each of Amine's moisturizers. This one is true to its name. It gives a matte-finish perfect for the "blank canvas" look for applying makeup. No shine & no oil. This product is great for people suffering from a lot of breakouts because of oiliness. This one is more light-weight. If you have dry skin get the Hydrating Daily Moisturizer, and/or use both (like me!).
I really enjoyed using these products. Mostly because they are chemical-free, and dermatologist tested. They don't feel like the other products on the market loaded with chemicals. They feel very refreshing, natural, and pure on the skin. I also like it because this product is created in England. I love European beauty products because they tend to be higher quality.
These products are hitting the self at Shoppers Drug Marts as of August 2014! So Canadians, head out to your local Shoppers and check these out! I went to check them out, and as a side note the prices are pretty stellar. Around $10 for each product. Considering they are all-nautural, I think that is a deal breaker!
Let me know if you are going to head out Canadians and check these out xxx. If your not Canadian you can always order them online!

I know a lot of schools are strict on make up rules, well my school was anyway, so I thought I would share with you a natural makeup look that you will get away with at school. I know how stressful it is in your teenage years when you want to try look your best for school but the teachers won't let you, so hopefully you will get away with this makeup. I know a lot of people who go to school are on a low budget, so I've tried my best to just use drugstore products to keep the price down.
I start off by applying the Garnier BB Cream for Combination to Oily Skin in Light, I feel that BB creams are great for school as they only give a light coverage so teachers are less likely to notice you have anything on. To cover up any blemishes and under eye circles I use the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in the shade Cool Medium, this concealer really is great at covering everything up to make your skin look flawless. To finish off the base I apply the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder to set everything and make the look more matte.
You do want to try and keep your makeup to a minimum, so for eyes I just use my Soap & Glory Primer to keep any oil off the lids then just apply the Maybelline Falsies Mascara just to open up the eyes and make you look a bit more awake. I wouldn't apply eyeshadow for school as is it quite obvious that your eyelids aren't naturally coloured so eyeshadow would give the makeup look away.
The final step is to apply blush so that you don't look washed out, you want to stick to a more natural blush colour so I just use the Sleek Blush in Pink Mint from the Pink Lemonade palette (the shade on the left).
That's all for this everyday makeup look, it's just enough to make you look covered up but not too obvious for teachers to notice. What is your school makeup look? Tell me in the comments below.
I hope you all enjoyed Lauren's post from daisy drops. Daisy Drops is a fun beauty blog that covers a variety of topics from nails to eyeshadow! So def check her out for more posts like this!

Hello friends. So if you haven't heard my blog is now hosted on blogger instead of tumblr because of the bloglovin/tumblr feud. Everything is pretty much the same other than a new blog design! Let me know how you like it! So I am going to be posting a review on a couple of beauty hero products I purchased in July!
So I went to this bath & body works outlet and purchased this candle called "Lavender Vanilla". I also got another candle called "Banana Nutmeg Bread Pudding". These are a couple of the candles from the new fall line. I love them both. The Lavender Vanilla has a beautiful relaxing scent, whereas the Banana Nutmeg smells like you've just baked something delicious. So I def recommend heading out to your local bath & body works and check out their new fall line.

Hey friends! So it is finally August, and that means its officially back to school season! For all of August I am going to be blogging about useful back to school tips, ranging from must-have trends, to dorm decoration! I am also going to have some guest bloggers this month so stay tuned! A link to this section on my blog is right under my categories!
For all you guys heading off to university/college in september, you must have had older friends, and parents warn you about the freshman 15. The freshman 15 is basically when students come home gaining 15 pounds! Often its because of bad lifestyle habits. I successfully avoided this ordeal and am going to share how!
Eat HealthyI know this seems like the most obvious thing in the world but often times when in university its actually really hard to do. The cafeteria is teeming with 24/7 delicious junk food available to you. And those late night study sessions are always about ordering pizza at 3:00am.
When you are heading over to the cafeteria for breakfast trying making yourself a parfait with yogurt, berries, and some granola. For lunch grab a salad or soup, and dinner some chicken breast and more salad! Trying eating this everyday and allow yourself some treats in the meanwhile. Keep a mini fridge in your dorm room, and fill it with yogurts, salads, and healthy fruits for late night study-snacking sessions!

Hi there! I’m Grace from Every Day In Grace, a lifestyle blog about baking, fashion, a little bit of beauty and just everything I’m loving at the moment. Today, I’m so excited to be on Marie’s Blog sharing my favourite chocolate chip recipe. A little background on me- I love baking, but I’m not that great at it. So I need an easy to follow, yet delicious recipe. After trying out many different ones- I’ve found the only chocolate chip recipe I’ll ever need. It’s delicious and can be modified slightly depending on what I’m in the mood for. Not all chocolate chip cookies are created the same!
